Question: How can I keep up to date with events near me?
Answer: There are a couple ways actually. Either you can keep visiting FindAutoEvents.com or you can download an RSS Reader such as Pluck. And RSS Reader such as Pluck, My Yahoo, or Personalized Google will update automatically and will only be a few clicks from your desktop. To use this, you will need to sign up as an affiliate. As an affiliate, you will be able to choose a zip code to search from for radius searches as well as other things. Then simply just copy the supplied link into your RSS Reader. Enjoy!

    Question: What is RSS?
Answer: RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format designed for sharing web content like news headlines. An RSS service (also known as an RSS channel) consists of a list of items, each of which contains a headline, description, and a link to a web page. For FindAutoEvents.com RSS service, the full content, such as a full-text article, is made available on www.FindAutoEvents.com and can be accessed by the link in the RSS service.

Question: I use PHP on my site. How do I add your RSS?
Answer: We suggest using MagpieRSS. This is an open source solution and is available here... http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/

Question: After I get Magpierss setup, my page is running slow. Why?
Answer: Magpierss requires a "cache" directory to store the cache files. If it is unable to create one it will request a list every time your page is loaded. This will slow down your page and consiquently hinder our servers performance as well. To solve this on a default installation, just create a cache directory in the same directory as your rss script and do a "chmod 777". This will allow magpierss to write the cache file and read from it.

Question: Do I have to have a web site to be an affiliate?
Answer: The quick answer is no. You can download RSS readers that will enable you to get an updated feed. We have tested our feed against "Pluck". But should also work with "My Yahoo" or any other RSS reader.

Question: I run ASP on my site, where can I get more information about importing RSS?
Answer: We have come across a very good article over at the four guys from rolla website. Here is the link.
